Waves Facilitator
About the role
The Waves Group Facilitator position at Norfolk and Waveney Mind involves delivering a psychoeducational and life skills programme in a therapeutic environment. The role supports individuals with a diagnosis of or traits of a personality disorder to improve their quality of life in a safe and empowering environment.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Waves Team Leader and co-facilitator to deliver the Waves Recovery Programme
- Support individuals with a diagnosis of or traits of a personality disorder to improve their quality of life
- Explore topics such as BPD, emotions, managing change, identity and values, relationships, boundaries, and coping skills
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with personality disorders
- Ability to facilitate group sessions in a therapeutic environment
- Knowledge of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect individual boundaries
Qualifications
- A degree in psychology, social work, or a related field
- Experience in facilitating group therapy sessions
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport and trust with participants
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Benefits
- Flexible working pattern: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9AM - 5PM
- Fixed-term contract ending on 31/01/2027
- Salary of £26,818 per annum, pro rata for part-time hours
- Location: Sale Road - NR7
