WAU Student - Game Staff - 2025-2026
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome guests during game time
- Receives monies for admissions
- Current entry fee
- Current students, faculty, and staff with ID - free
- Non-WAU students, faculty and staff - $5.00
- Children 5 and under – free
- Allows entry to visitors on Team Guestlist
- Affixes signs indicating free entry
- Assists with set up before the game and clean up after the game
- Cleans up
- Makes sure no one sits in a position that their legs hang off stage
- Security / Door
- Ensures that guests/visitors do not walk on the court, behind the basketball hoops, sit with legs hanging off the stage, jump off the stage, or hang around the entrance doors/stairwell.
- May be asked to open doors for referees or visiting team.
- Assists with set up before the game and clean up after the game
- Pulls out bleachers
- Sets up chairs for players
- Sets up tables and chairs for admissions and concessions
- Cleans up
- Makes sure no one sits in a position that their legs hang off the stage
- Concessions
- Sells snacks to visitors according to the provided price list
- Assists with set up before the game and clean up after the game
- Cleans up
- Makes sure no one sits in a position where their legs hang off the stage
- Ball Person
- Responsible for making sure a game stays in play at all times
- Retrieves balls from out of play area’s which may include going over the fence or into the street
- Assists with set up before the game and clean up after the game
- Pulls out bleachers
- Sets up chairs for players
- Sets up tables and chairs for admissions and concessions
- Cleans up
- Makes sure no one sits in a position where their legs hang off the stage
- Operations
- Great visiting team and unlocks the Team Room door for them
- Greet Referees and unlocks the specified room for them
- Assists with set up before the game and clean up after the game
- Pulls out bleachers
- Sets up chairs for players
- Sets up tables and chairs for admissions and concessions
- Cleans up
- Makes sure no one sits in a position where their legs hang off the stage
- All Positions
- CELL PHONES SHOULD NOT BE USED WHILE WORKING UNLESS IT IS WORK-RELATED
- Keep your work area clear of people hanging around
Qualifications
The worker must be able to lift 40 lbs.
I acknowledge and understand all the duties referenced above. I also understand that I will be assigned other duties at the department’s discretion. I am able to perform all the essential and non essential job functions for this position with reasonable accommodation.
