Waterpark Facilities Area Manager
Responsibilities
Oversee the operation, inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance of rides, pools, filtration systems, HVAC, and mechanical equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
Manage and train maintenance staff, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes, including water quality and ride safety regulations.
Care for coordination of maintenance schedules to minimize downtime, management of budgets and inventory for parts/supplies, and partnership with leadership on capital projects or upgrades.
Identify suppliers for replacement parts, obtain competitive bids, and enter purchase requisitions.
Make recommendations regarding the need for modification to maintenance procedures, test procedures, instrumentation or setup based upon test results and machine operational performance.
Maintain detailed maintenance records in order to perform effective preventive maintenance.
Maintain good Maintenance standards to ensure buildings, grounds and attractions are safe and visually in compliance.
Train safety, OSHA and protocol information to large groups and document the trainings.
Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time, climb stairs and ladders repeatedly, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and work overhead using both hands.
Qualifications
- General Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills required.
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent preferred.
- Certified pool operator (CPO) or the ability to quickly gain certification
- 3-5 years experience in managing and directing skilled technical staff.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in variable types of weather and temperatures.
- Must be able to climb stairs and stand for long periods of time.
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
