Job Summary

Supervises the daily activities of support staff or production team members. Does not typically perform the work supervised. Must have any type of one direct report or more. Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors.

Impact of the Role

Supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems. Oversees staff installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management. Tracks work orders and ensures work follows established service and quality standards for completion. Schedules and supervises preventative maintenance, painting, or carpentry projects. Maintains a safe and effective working environment that complies with regulations and laws. May coordinate work to be completed by contractors and skilled trades.

Essential Functions

  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.
  • Supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems.
  • Oversees staff installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management.
  • Tracks work orders and ensures work follows established service and quality standards for completion.
  • Schedules and supervises preventative maintenance, painting, or carpentry projects.
  • Maintains a safe and effective working environment that complies with regulations and laws.
  • May coordinate work to be completed by contractors and skilled trades.

Required Qualifications

  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.

Travel Requirements

Up to 25% travel likely.

Pay Range (USD)

$102,663.00 - $138,897.00

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process.
