Water Well Operator

About the role

H 2 O Innovation is a leading company in water and wastewater treatment, specializing in innovative water technologies, services, specialty products, and contract operations. We are seeking a skilled Water Well Operator to join our team in Gulfport, MS. Our next colleague will hold a full-time & permanent position. In this role, the water well operator will be responsible for overseeing the daily operator of the water well division that is responsible for providing a continuous supply of safe drinking water for Gulfport, MS residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform work duties outlined in the job description.
• Help ensure compliance with all MSDH standards.
• Conduct sampling required by the MSDH and other agencies.
• Ensure all well and tank infrastructure is operating properly and in accordance with government standards.
• Complete and submit logbooks.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Class D Mississippi Water License preferred.
• High school diploma/GED.
• At least 1-year related experience.
• Knowledge of work hazards and safety precautions, including hazards that may exist in water well environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and its programs.
• Ability to deal with the public on a regular basis in a professional, courteous manner.
• Ability to perform physical tasks in various outdoor weather conditions.
• Must pass a background check including criminal background & motor vehicle report checks, as well as drug & alcohol screenings.
