Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Maintains schedules, budgets, accounts receivable, and manpower requirements and prepares invoices.
- Develops Project Management plans for assigned projects.
- Establishes project pricing and budgets.
- Creates and maintains project schedules.
- Develops and maintains project-specific quality plans.
- Develops and coordinates project scope.
- Manages subconsultants.
- Participates in client presentations.
- Oversees and manages assigned staff working on projects.
- Manages all technical resources on the project team.
- Develops extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals.
- Collaborates with Section Heads, Office Managers, and Practice Leaders with marketing proposals.
- Provides coaching and mentorship to the project team through one-on-one check-in meetings and various project debriefs to acknowledge achievements, identify areas for improvement, and share lessons learned.
- Leads and manages team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meetings, coaching) that supports the growth and development of teams.
Required Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited engineering program
- Professional Engineer License
- 10+ years’ experience in Water/Wastewater project design and management
Preferred Experience
- CAPM or PMP
- Experience working with local clients at the county and state level
- Project management and business development experience
- Experience with multiple project delivery methods i.e. Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3
- Experience managing multidiscipline project teams
Working Conditions
- Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time.
- Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking.
- Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
- Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
