Water/Wastewater Project Manager

About the role

J. R. Wauford (An Ardurra company) is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join their team in Memphis, TN. The ideal candidate will collaborate with clients to plan, design, permit, and construct comprehensive water and wastewater systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs, plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates for treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, tanks, and other water/wastewater storage and conveyance systems.
• Perform or manage engineering/process design, hydraulics, pumping systems, and treatment process projects.
• Respond to requests for qualifications and assist with teaming opportunities.
• Guide, direct, and coordinate with multiple departments and sub-consultants required for multi-discipline projects.
• Create, calibrate, modify, and perform hydraulic modeling for water and wastewater systems, and interpret and communicate the results to others.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Environmental, or other related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years progressive experience in the municipal water/wastewater and/or public works field of engineering.
• Professional Engineer’s license required, with a license in the state of Tennessee preferred.
• Experience in managing production and treatment projects, as well as wastewater collection and treatment modeling.
• Advanced understanding of water treatment/distribution and wastewater collection/treatment principles and state regulations.
• Self-motivated, able to lead or assist a project team to complete multiple projects simultaneously.
• Able to guide, direct, and coordinate with multiple professionals involved in water/wastewater projects and manage the performance of various personnel in other departments.
• Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
