Water & Wastewater Project Engineer
About the role
As a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer, you will work closely with principal technical professionals and project managers to engage in and deliver the total lifecycle of our clients’ needs. This may include asset management and planning, assistance with project funding applications, preliminary and final designs, procurement and bid phase assistance, and construction phase services.
Responsibilities
- Provide and apply your technical knowledge in Planning (treatment studies, process/hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, permitting and site planning).
- Provide and apply your technical knowledge in Design (process design, process/mechanical design, process and equipment selection, sizing, layout of equipment, chemical feed systems).
- Provide and apply your technical knowledge in Construction (bidding assistance to the client, construction administration around submittal reviews, responses to technical RFI’s and engineering site inspections).
- Provide and apply your technical knowledge in Funding & Permits (assist in preparing applications, respond to review comments, perform closeout assignments).
- Perform condition assessments, basis of design studies.
Requirements
- B.S. in chemical, civil, environmental or mechanical engineering.
- Engineer-In-Training/FE.
- 6-10 years of civil engineering design experience required with a focus on water/wastewater treatment facilities design or related experience.
- Previous experience in writing basis of design reports, preparing process mechanical drawings for water and wastewater facilities, preparing engineering estimates of construction costs and technical specifications.
- Strong AutoCAD and BIM (Revit) skills.
- Ability and motivation to obtain Professional Engineering license within one (1) year of required.
- Candidates must possess excellent organizational, communication, computer and technical writing skills.
- SewerGEMS/WaterGEMS/Process treatment modeling (Biowin) preferred.
- Membership in AWWA, ASCE and/or Water Environment Federation or desire to participate preferred.

Pay
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with New Jersey's Pay Equity Transparency Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $91,000 - $129,000.00.
Schedule
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid schedule, allowing the role to be offered in Princeton or Hamilton, NJ; or our Philadelphia (Exton), PA offices.
