Water Treatment Technician

About the role

American Aqua is the fastest growing water treatment company in Michigan. We are looking for water treatment technicians to service our residential and commercial clients, providing repair or new installation of equipment that delivers the best water possible.

The technician will gain knowledge of our water treatment systems to respond to sales calls in a professional manner and must reflect and represent our core values: Team, Accountability, Expertise, Preparedness, and Communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, layout, organize, and execute work with minimal or no supervision
• Service residential and commercial water treatment systems
• Perform repair and new installation of water treatment equipment
• Provide excellent customer service
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Occasionally lift up to 60 lbs
• Maintain a good driving record to operate a company vehicle

Requirements

• Interest in a career in water treatment
• Proficiency with tools and repair work; mechanically inclined
• 1–2 years of service installation and/or equipment repair preferred
• Water softener installation and/or plumbing experience is a plus
• Subject to pre-employment testing, including drug/alcohol screening, background check, motor vehicle record check, chauffeur’s license, and D.O.T. physical as applicable
