Water Treatment Plant Operator - 211 Water Treatment Plant

Requirements

The Water Treatment Operator must meet the following qualifications:

• High school diploma and one (1) to five (5) years of experience in a water/wastewater treatment or industrial facility preferred; OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
• Associate's degree in the field of natural sciences highly preferred.
• Valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver License required.
• Possession of Grade C or higher Well Water Treatment Plant Operator Certificate issued by the State of North Carolina preferred.

Individuals hired at a Trainee level will be required to attain a NC Grade C Well Water Treatment Plant Operator Certification within the probationary period.

Physical Requirements

• Must be physically able to operate personal computer, related office equipment, and motor vehicle.
• Physical demand requirements are for Medium Work.
