Water Treatment/Distribution Operator (WATER AND WASTEWATER OPR)
About the role
Under direction of the Physical Plant Mechanic Supervisor, provide journey-level plumbing/utility skills for installation, alteration, operation, and maintenance of water, sewer, storm drainage, swimming pools and natural gas systems.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Minimum qualifications: Certificate of completion from a recognized union apprenticeship program, University apprenticeship program, accredited trade school or equivalent experience/training.
- Valid California driver's license.
- Journey level knowledge and experience in the plumbing/utility system trade and related practices.
- Skills to fabricate, maintain, service, repair, replace, install and/or alter Plumbing and other campus utility systems.
- Skills to inspect and perform preventive maintenance program on Plumbing and other campus utility systems.
- Skills to interact orally or through written communications.
- Analytical skill to understand and interpret technical data and mechanical and structural specifications and blueprints and other documentation for water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, natural gas and swimming pool systems.
- Skill to inspect or perform quality control observation/analysis for maintenance and construction projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: License and/or certification if required of the position.
