Launch Your Career as a Water Technician Trainee! As a Water Technician Trainee, you'll play a vital role in one of three essential maintenance programs: Valve Exercise, Fire Hydrant Maintenance, or Blowoff Maintenance. Our 3-month trainee program is designed to set you up for success, with clear pathways for career growth. Once you meet expectations, you'll have the opportunity to advance to Water Technician 1.

Responsibilities

• Participate in valve exercise, fire hydrant maintenance, or blowoff maintenance programs
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and be aware of roadside hazards
• Work along busy streets, highways, and residential roads, often in high-traffic areas
• Operate in various regional environments including embankments, uneven terrain, or wet conditions
• Adapt to high heat, humidity, sudden storms, and cold temperatures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Qualifications

• Experience with basic mechanical and electrical systems is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Pass a background check and drug screening
