Water Systems Technician - 2nd shift

Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 2nd shift Water Systems Technician to join our team in Van Wert. The primary goal of this position is to maintain the DAF building and wastewater equipment, as well as the potable water system, in such a manner as to minimize down time and maximize the efficiency of the operation.
Schedule
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm
Pay
HOURLY RATE: $21.65 - $27.65 depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Take water and wastewater samples on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, as needed.
- Operate and monitor all water systems equipment.
- Complete maintenance and repairs on water systems and lagoon equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all EPA regulations.
- Complete required EPA paperwork.
- Monitor and replace chemicals for water systems.
- Monitor and assist in sludge removal on a weekly basis.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge and experience in all facets of maintenance and water control operations is required
- Prior water treatment system knowledge and potable water distribution experience for a non-transient, non-community water system
- Basic computer knowledge and competency is essential
