Maintenance Technician- 2nd shift

Job Summary

Neogen is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will focus on electrical systems and play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing equipment.

About the Role

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, testing equipment, troubleshooting issues, and completing preventive maintenance tasks. They will also provide technical support and training to staff and be available to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment to optimize performance and minimize downtime
• Test equipment for performance and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed
• Replace old or faulty electrical components and equipment
• Provide technical support and training to staff on the operation and maintenance of equipment
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and reduce unplanned downtime
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
• Initiate ideas and actions to cut costs and increase production
• Be available to work weekends and overtime as required to support operational needs

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years' experience dealing with repairing down equipment and preventative maintenance tasks
• Electrical experience preferred
• Highschool Diploma or equivalent
