Responsibilities
- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
- Attend safety meetings and participate in safety programs.
- Complete and maintain maintenance records.
- Maintain and monitor pumps, piping, filter equipment, and centrifuge.
- Monitor chemical systems and collect samples for water testing.
- Adjust metering pumps as needed and switch chemical totes as required.
- Monitor water flow and clear small jams in water lines using a water/air compressor.
- Perform preventative maintenance including lubrication and measuring wear.
- Operate small equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, etc., on an as-needed basis.
- Provide technical support by monitoring production equipment, adjusting feed/discharge rates, and troubleshooting issues.
- Conduct frequent and periodic inspections of the plant to detect malfunctions and initiate corrective actions.
- Perform daily scheduled preventative and emergency maintenance on production equipment, including greasing, lubricating, cleaning, and measuring.
- Keep grounds clear of debris while maintaining safety standards.
- Perform interior and exterior building maintenance, housekeeping chores, and ground maintenance, including sweeping, shoveling, and general clean-up.
- Communicate effectively over radio with teammates for traffic coordination, production, and safety procedures.
- Willing to cross-train in other positions and assist other employees as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your manager.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year previous general labor experience in heavy manufacturing environments and warehouses, preferably in the scrap metal or construction industries.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop outdoor environment while providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work standing or walking for up to 12 hours per day.
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes of priority and complete job tasks safely and effectively without constant supervision.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- Ability to operate a forklift is a plus.
- Flexible to work overtime, off-hours, weekends, and holidays in an industrial/warehouse environment which includes being outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work in extreme heat and be exposed to weather.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- Candidates within 50 miles of the location are preferred.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.

NIGHT SHIFT: Monday through Friday, 4pm - 2am
