About the role
The Town of Wellesley Department of Public Works seeks a full-time Water & Sewer Maintenance Worker for the Water & Sewer Division.
Responsibilities
- Using manual or power hand tools
- Assisting in the inspection, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of the Town's water and sewer infrastructure
- Operating construction equipment including Class D vehicles, excavators, backhoes, forklifts, power tools, manual tools, and other equipment
- Participating in the Town's snow and ice control program
- Availability for stand-by, emergency, and weekend duties as required
Requirements
- Must possess a valid MA Class D license
- High School diploma or equivalent
- A good employment record
- Ability to obtain a valid Hoisting Engineer?s License classes 2A and 1C within one year of hire
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to use hand and power tools
