Water/Sewer Construction & Maintenance Worker

About the role

Performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance work, and operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of City water supply, and sewer treatment or distribution facilities and systems.

Responsibilities

• Operates various pieces of construction and maintenance equipment
• Maintains and repairs water supply and sewer treatment or distribution facilities and systems
• Assists in the installation and removal of water and sewer pipes, valves, and other components
• Performs routine inspections and tests of water and sewer systems to ensure proper functioning
• Responds to emergency situations involving water and sewer systems

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, maintenance, or related field
• Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and vehicles

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

Pay

$18.50 - $22.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
