Water Restoration Lead Technician
About the role
This position involves knowledge of the disaster restoration industry and performing various tasks related to job retrieval, equipment loading, customer interaction, and issue resolution.
Responsibilities
- Retrieves work orders and loads appropriate equipment and supplies onto the truck for each job.
- Completes assigned jobs according to company processes and carrier standards, ensuring quality control and managing assigned technicians.
- Daily monitoring and completing required activities on active jobs for both residential and commercial customers with a sense of urgency.
- Explains job processes and next steps to resolution to customers using printed materials.
- Interfaces with adjusters in person, over the phone, and virtually to resolve issues and answer questions about the loss.
- Completes sketch and scope sheets for estimates, enters drying records using mobile software.
- Inspects jobs upon completion and obtains customer signatures for approval, and requests payments when necessary.
- Solves customer issues and communicates daily job activities with key company staff.
- Prepares and reviews documentation including notes, photos, and obtains customer signatures according to company policies using software for reimbursement from insurance companies.
- Might train new technicians or key operational team members.
- Ensures adherence to safety standards during all active jobs.
Requirements
- Valid Drivers’ License and satisfactory driving record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize activities and meet deadlines.
- Experience with entering data using a tablet or mobile phone.
- Reports to work on time in a clean, complete uniform.
- Reads and follows product label usage instructions.
- High school graduate or equivalent education.
- Knowledge of disaster restoration or construction industry.
- Proficient with using mobile software to enter data.
- Experience with using Xactimate is preferred but not required.
- Experience in training and managing others.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
