Water Resources Engineering Intern

About the role

Dewberry is currently seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern for its Virginia Beach, VA office during the Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on project experience
• Develop technical skills
• Engage in meaningful work assignments
• Participate in a summer-long group project
• Work alongside firm leaders to address strategic issues

Requirements

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of water quality modeling, wastewater modeling, and water quality regulatory issues
• Knowledge of floodplain delineation, storm water management, culvert and bridge hydraulics, and drainage design
• Previous internship experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office software
• Able to work in a team environment

Pay

$18.75 /hour - $29.75 /hour. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
