Water Reclamation Facility Operator

About the role

The City of Covington is seeking a Water Reclamation Facility Operator in the Water Reclamation Department. The starting hourly rate is $20.68 and up, based on qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of semi-skilled, skilled, laboratory, computer, technical, and maintenance work in the operation of wastewater treatment facilities and systems.
• Wastewater treatment experience is desired, but not required. Any equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
• Possession of Class III Wastewater Certification or the ability to obtain certification within one year of appointment.

Qualifications

• Minimal education and experience qualifications include high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to obtain Class III Wastewater Certification within one year of appointment.

Skills

• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes.
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment used in wastewater treatment.
• Basic computer skills.
