Water Quality Program Manager at Stennis Space Center, MS
About the role
Serve as the lead for the Water Quality Program, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to stormwater and wastewater management. Coordinate all stormwater and wastewater activities. Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory agencies as mandated. Oversee sampling and analysis of water quality to ensure compliance with applicable standards. Provide technical guidance and support to site personnel regarding water quality issues. Conduct training and awareness programs related to water quality compliance for staff and stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of environmental compliance activities and ensure documentation is up to date.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead for the Water Quality Program, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to stormwater and wastewater management.
- Cook up all stormwater and wastewater activities.
- Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory agencies as mandated.
- Oversee sampling and analysis of water quality to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to site personnel regarding water quality issues.
- Conduct training and awareness programs related to water quality compliance for staff and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of environmental compliance activities and ensure documentation is up to date.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering, science, or related field is required.
- 8+ years of stormwater and wastewater compliance experience is required.
- Knowledge of Mississippi environmental regulations is required.
- Knowledge of NASA environmental guidelines, systems, and processes is preferred.
- Current HAZWOPER training is preferred for this position.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing with the ability to drive to client sites.
- Must be detail oriented to properly document all environmental compliance activities occurring across the contract.
Qualifications
