Program Manager, Water - USA

About the role

We are seeking a Program Manager, Water to lead the development and growth of the Program Management Practice for our business in Canada and the USA. Key responsibilities include overseeing existing programs, developing tools and systems, training future leaders, engaging with clients, securing program management assignments, and representing GHD at professional events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee existing programs across North America
• Develop company tools and systems to support the practice
• Develop future program managers through deployment into existing programs
• Engage with clients to develop their program management needs
• Develop strategies to secure program management assignments for the Company
• Engage with partners, sub consultants as necessary following Winning Work principles
• Serve as required as the initial Program Manager and build in succession plans
• Work in coordination and collaboration with the Water Market Leaders, Business Group Leaders and other stakeholders across the organization developing new business
• Work in coordination with PMO and Engineering Design Office to develop procedures and skills to support program growth
• Represent GHD at key professional association events
• Build the Program Management Bench

Requirements

• 20+ years’ experience with major programs across North America with Capital Budgets exceeding $100 M USD
• Acted in the capacity of Program Manager for municipal water clients
• Experience in developing program scopes, schedules and budgets including establishment of project controls, quality plans and other critical program management components
• Ability to collaborate across the business and integrate Advisory and Digital capabilities
• Able to work in a matrix structure and across geographies
• Able to manage relationships with multiple public clients at senior leadership levels

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Construction
• PMI certification (PMP)
• CMAA qualified
• Professional Engineering qualification (plus)
