Program Manager, Water - USA

About the role

The Program Manager, Water will lead the development and growth of the Program Management Practice for GHD in Canada and the USA. Key responsibilities include engaging with clients to understand their program management needs, developing strategies to secure program management assignments, and building a bench of future program managers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee existing programs across North America
• Develop company tools and systems to support the practice
• Deploy future program managers into existing programs across the company
• Engage with clients to develop their program management needs
• Secure program management assignments for the Company
• Collaborate with partners, subconsultants as necessary following Winning Work principles
• Represent GHD at key professional association events
• Build the Program Management Bench

Requirements

• 20+ years’ experience with major programs across North America with Capital Budgets exceeding $100 M USD
• Experience in developing program scopes, schedules and budgets including establishment of project controls, quality plans and other critical program management components
• Ability to collaborate across the business and integrate Advisory and Digital capabilities
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Commercial acumen with regards to contract negotiation and agreement
• Able to manage relationships with multiple public clients at senior leadership levels

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Construction
• PMI certification (PMP)
• CMAA qualified
• Professional Engineering qualification (plus)
