About the role
The City of Hermitage is seeking a Maintenance Technician in the Water Pollution Control Department.
Responsibilities
- Monitor control panels and adjust valves
- Interpret meter readings
- Operate pumps, engines and generators to regulate and control the flow of sewage
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on equipment in the Food Waste to Energy Program and treatment plant equipment
- Assist with cleaning lines and manholes
- Operate inspection equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Some mechanical knowledge

Pay
Starting hourly wage is $24.72, increasing to $26.52 after one year; current top rate (after 4 years) is $28.11.
