Water Mitigation Technician

About the role

Kennedy Restoration, the premier restoration company in the Pacific NW, is hiring a full‑time Water Mitigation Technician. The technician is responsible for completing water removal and structural drying for residential or commercial properties affected by fire, water, or mold damage. The company operates a 24/7 emergency service, so applicants must be available for a rotating on‑call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide water damage services
• Apply structural in‑place drying methods
• Perform water extraction and removal of water‑damaged materials
• Set up and monitor drying equipment
• Document jobs and maintain records
• Set up and maintain containment
• Contain and remediate building materials impacted with mold
• Conduct biohazard cleanup

Requirements

• Experience responding to and setting up commercial/residential drying equipment
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Availability for 24‑hour on‑call service (6‑week rotation) during a work shift
• Strong work ethic and team‑oriented mindset
• Customer‑service driven attitude
• Willingness to learn
• Physical ability to lift heavy items up to 75 lb routinely
• IICRC, WRT certification with two years of experience is preferred but not required

Pay

$18–$21 per hour, dependent on experience level.

Schedule

Rotating on‑call schedule with 24‑hour availability; 6‑week rotation for emergency service shifts.
