Water Engineering Intern

About the Role

Garver’s experienced Water Team is seeking a Water Engineering Intern to join our team in our Fort Worth, TX office. This intern will gain real-world experience in design while working in a fast-paced, professional setting alongside communities throughout the region to develop solutions for their water needs.

As part of the Garver Launch Program, you will elevate your summer experience with an immersive, hands-on intern development program that includes:

• Daily engagement with fellow Garver Launch interns and industry professionals to build your network.
• Participation in Garver's acclaimed wellness program to prioritize your overall well-being.
• Community volunteer activities through our Garver Gives initiative.
• Professional growth opportunities through collaboration with Garver's Learning and Development team, including tailored training, skills-based courses, and development programs.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside and be mentored by experienced water professionals and industry leaders.
• Gain real-world environmental and civil engineering experience by assisting with a wide array of water projects.
• Receive training from experienced water staff and project managers.
• Gain experience in the competitive consulting engineering industry.
• Visit Garver’s Water project sites.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or biological/biosystems engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work, attend meetings, or complete work-related tasks may be required.
