Water Engineeer

Responsibilities

• Work closely with field water operations, drilling, completions, and production teams to ensure timely and cost-effective water pricing, transfer, and supply.
• Manage current water assets (e.g., gathering and distribution pipelines, recycling and fresh water ponds), including providing engineering support and working closely with the field water operations team.
• Frequent travel to field locations is required.
• Display leadership in EH&S programs by demonstrating safe work practices, adhering to best practices and guidelines, employing the ETHOS Management System, and strictly following all applicable Federal, State, County, and local laws and industry standards.
• Improve and expand water assets, including providing strategic directions and support for water treatment operations.
• Coordinate, schedule, and construct water handling facilities for completion operations and disposal.
• Design, execute, and manage the installation of pump stations, water pipelines, and injection well facilities to ensure schedule and lowest project cost.
• Work as an integral team member with the development and completions team to provide engineering options for third-party water opportunities.
• Develop, perform economic analysis, design, and coordinate water capital projects.
• Develop piping hydraulic models to optimize water systems and reduce bottlenecks.
• Identify and advise teams and completion operations on opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Monitor costs and cycle times, and continually strive to reduce these items.
• Conduct lookbacks and benchmarking on all projects to improve costs and schedule for future projects.
• Evaluate and award bids for materials and services.
• Assist field operations staff with miscellaneous optimization, automation, and debottlenecking projects.
• Participate in engineering initiatives within the operations group and company.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience in oil and gas engineering, with a strong preference for water management and water treatment.
• Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and take on multiple projects.
• Ability to apply sound judgment in making balanced decisions.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience in asset development operations.
• Familiarity with reading engineering drawings such as P&IDs, PFDs, and piping drawings.
• Focus on delivering requirements efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
