Watch Stander/ Electronic Technician II - Part Time

About the role

This part-time position provides circuit restoration, fault isolation, quality control testing, trend analysis, performance monitoring, and status reporting for classified and unclassified networks.

Responsibilities

• Plan network installations by studying customer orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications; order and gather equipment, supplies, materials, and tools; assess installation site; prepare installation diagrams.
• Establish voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; install telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays, alarm and fire-suppression systems; build ironwork and ladder racks; program features; follow industry standards; activate remote access tools; coordinate with contractors.
• Verify classified and unclassified service by testing circuits, equipment, and alarms; identify, correct, or escalate problems.
• Document network by labeling and routing equipment and cables; record configuration diagrams and specifications.
• Maintain network by troubleshooting and repairing outages; test network back-up procedures; update documentation.
• Maintain customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns; answer questions.
• Maintain safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations.
• Update job knowledge by reading technical publications stationed onsite.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum three (3) years of related experience.
• Ability to work shifts supporting 24/7/365 requirements.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• Preferred: IAT II Certification.

Pay

The hourly pay rate is $44.93.
