Hiring Immediately! Wastewater Treatment Operator I
Starting Pay Rate: $19.00
Mayday Manufacturing is looking for a Wastewater Treatment Technician, lab experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a Wastewater Treatment System (WWTS) and related equipment and chemicals to comply with local, state, and federal permit requirements per HITOP-011-09.
• Perform WWTS maintenance and clerical duties per HITOP-011-09.
• Maintain chemical inventory.
• Maintain and run boilers, chillers, and RO water units.
• Safely make chemical additions to a variety of plating and anodizing baths.
• Make basic adjustments to pH, ORP, and TDS probes.
• Make basic repairs of pneumatic pumps, mixers.

Requirements

• Self-starter who enjoys a job that is constantly changing.
• Passionate about providing proper training and support to employees.
• Enjoys working with their hands and doing small repairs.
• Has a sense of urgency when it comes to helping others.
• Can prioritize a list of jobs to complete the most urgent first.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and maintaining wastewater treatment systems.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to perform basic repairs on equipment and machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and verifying items.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.

Skills

• Chemical handling and addition skills.
• Basic troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail.
