Wastewater Technician I

About the role

The Wastewater Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various types of equipment used within the Village’s wastewater facilities and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair pumps, motors, control systems, and associated wastewater equipment.
• Perform both scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency repairs under the direction of the Wastewater Operations Manager.

Requirements

• Trade School Certificate
• Two (2) years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices used in mechanical and electrical maintenance of wastewater systems.
