Responsibilities
- Operating various types of pumping and process equipment and systems used to treat contaminated groundwater and industrial wastewater
- Under the supervision of the Service Manager, accountable for operating various types of pumping and process equipment and systems used to treat contaminated groundwater and industrial wastewater
- The amount of supervision required depends on the complexity of the site and your experience level
Requirements
- Previous experience in operating and maintaining wastewater treatment plant equipment and systems
- Strong technical knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship
- Graduation from high school, or the equivalent
- Two (2) years of full-time skilled operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment and reclaimed water distribution system.
- An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered
- Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license
- Must possess and maintain a current and valid Nevada Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Grade II certification issued by the Nevada Water Environment Association
