About the role

The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining wastewater treatment facilities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems to maintain water quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct tests and analyze samples to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Document all activities and report findings to supervisors.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents related to wastewater treatment operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience in wastewater treatment or related field preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Good physical condition to perform manual labor tasks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
