Pay
- New Seasonals: $14.00 / hour
- Second Year Returning Seasonals: $15.00 / hour
- Third Year or More Returning Seasonals: $16.00 / hour
- End-of-season bonus for employees meeting minimum employment requirements.
Requirements
- Applicants must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver's license.
- Must successfully pass a background screening and drug screening.
- This is a temporary, full-time position lasting no longer than six months.
Nature/Purpose of Work
The City of Gillette is seeking reliable, motivated Seasonal Workers to assist the City Wastewater Division with tasks including grounds maintenance, lawn care, and project assistance at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Other duties may be requested as needed. The work involves intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, or walking. Employees frequently lift light and occasionally heavy objects, climb ladders, use tools or equipment requiring high dexterity, distinguish between shades of color, and utilize the sense of smell. The work is typically performed outdoors, in warm or inclement weather, and the employee may be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease, and machinery with moving parts. Protective devices such as masks, goggles, gloves, etc., are required.
