About the role
The Wastewater Project Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing wastewater treatment systems. This includes conducting feasibility studies, preparing design documents, and overseeing construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Conducts feasibility studies and prepares detailed design documents for wastewater treatment facilities.
- Oversees the construction phase of wastewater treatment projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and timelines.
- Collaborates with clients and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with environmental standards and codes.
- Participates in project meetings and provides technical support to the project team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in wastewater engineering.
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art wastewater treatment technologies and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Experience with hydraulic modeling software like HEC-RAS or SWMM.
- Understanding of environmental regulations and permits.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
