WASTEWATER OPERATOR 3RD SHIFT

Responsibilities

• Maintain operations of the Process water collection and pre-treatment system.
• Monitor facility’s discharge and operate recovery systems.
• Maintain equipment to ensure compliance with the Industrial User Discharge Permit and other regulatory requirements.
• Perform daily monitoring of plant functions, adjusting as necessary to meet demands.
• Collect and analyze samples both on-site and off-site.
• Operate and maintain wastewater pre-treatment and Tallow recovery operations.
• Identify and promptly troubleshoot process, instrumentation, data, and mechanical issues.
• Perform basic maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.
• Document and report needed system improvements.
• Create and update operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and readiness plans.
• Conduct preventive maintenance as scheduled in the PM program.
• Record equipment meter readings, water meter readings, and operation log entries.
• Handle safe handling of pre-treatment chemicals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Foreperson.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 45 lbs.
• Basic computer skills, preferred Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and occasional 12-hour shifts.
