WASH SHED OPERATOR

As a Wash Shed Operator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our fresh potatoes are cleaned, prepared, and ready for customers across the country.

Responsibilities

• Aid the lead person in unloading bulk trailers
• Operate machines to wash and remove impurities from product
• Aid the lead person with sanitation requirements
• Unload pallets from empty trailers
• Assist with packaging activities if necessary
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Forklift experience a plus, certification will be required
• Valid state motor vehicle license with acceptable motor vehicle record for forklift
• Ability to comprehend and follow directions and to communicate and keep daily records
• General housekeeping and organizational skills
• Self-motivated and able to function as part of a team
• Ability to utilize Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software

Physical/Environmental Demands

• Be able to climb stationary ladder
• Prolonged periods standing and moving throughout the facility
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds at times
• Variety of repetitive movements
• Good manual dexterity to perform required tasks
• Exposure to airborne particles or fumes
• Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas

Schedule

First Shift: 2:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. During our busy harvest season (mid-September through the end of October), additional hours and overtime may be required to help meet customer demand.
