About the role

Thompson Truck Group (TTG) is seeking a dependable, hardworking individual for an entry‑level Wash Bay & Fuel Island Attendant position in Chattanooga, TN. This role offers hands‑on training in diesel service and the opportunity to grow within the company.

Responsibilities

• Fuel diesel and gasoline vehicles.
• Check and maintain fluid levels (oil, coolant, etc.).
• Check and adjust tire pressure.
• Wash vehicles and trailers.
• Keep the fuel island and wash bay clean and safe.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks, including tire installation, rotation, and replacement.
• Provide preventive maintenance support.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred (training provided).
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; CDL a plus.
• Reliable, dependable, and takes pride in work.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lb regularly and 100 lb occasionally.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Comfortable working in a shop environment with noise, dust, fumes, and changing temperatures.
