Pay
- Pay grade B6: $20.96 - $29.38 per hour, depending on experience
- Shift differential pay: $1 to $2.50 for working nights and weekends
- Bilingual pay: 10% increase after passing Language Test
- $4,125 hiring bonus available until 10/31/26 (2-year commitment, staggered-taxed payout)

About the Role
The Warmline Peer Support Operator provides confidential, non-judgmental, and non-critical support to callers while practicing the principles of Intentional Peer Support (IPS). This role operates under the general direction of the assigned Warmline Supervisor and receives guidance from a Shift Leader.
Responsibilities
- Take calls from individuals across the state and provide phone support as trained by CCS
- Participate in ongoing training, team-building, and work closely with Shift Leaders in an evolving work environment
- Maintain and track data logs, enter data, and present warmline activity reports accurately and professionally
- Write reports for the Warmline Shift Leader or assigned Warmline Supervisor as needed
- Provide all information in a timely and professional manner
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and confidentiality laws pertaining to client information
- Communicate effectively in both written and oral formats, handling routine to complex and confidential information
- Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher), digital logs, conference calls, email, and office automation (printers, fax, multi-phone lines)
Requirements
- Must identify as a person with lived experience of having big feelings and supporting others through difficult times
- Must possess a certificate for completion of the Core Training in Intentional Peer Support (IPS)
- Must become registered with the Oregon Health Authority Traditional Health Worker registry as a Peer Support Specialist within the first 6 months of employment
- Must demonstrate a working understanding of the Warmline’s purpose through training role-plays and ongoing skill development
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and participate in ongoing trainings and meetings
- Strong communication, teamwork, and feedback skills
- Fundamental awareness or willingness to learn about cross-cultural issues, dual diagnosis/addictions, and effects of PTSD/trauma
- Must pass all criminal history checks as required by ORS 181.536-181.537 and OAR 410-007-0200 through 410-007-0380
- Monthly checks against OIG, GSA exclusion lists, and other federal/state agency lists; exclusion or sanction results in immediate termination
- Pre-hire drug screening required

Physical Demands
- Regular use of office automation, including computers and phone systems requiring fine manipulation, grasping, typing, and reaching

Work Environment
Work is performed in sponsored locations provided by funding counties. The environment may expose the employee to typical risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions (e.g., moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, electrical shock).
