Heat Treat Machine Operator - Weekend Night

Responsibilities

• Sets up machine, observes operation, and inspects first run and sample work piece to ensure machining conforms to specifications.
• Reads blueprint or job order for product and job specifications such as wire type, dimensions, tolerances and number of parts to be run.
• Selects, enters and adjusts specified heat treat recipes to conform to production run sheet and feed rates.
• Performs routine lubrication and preventative maintenance inspections as required.
• Observes all safety rules.
• Performs routine and preventative machine maintenance.
• Affords assistance to other machine operators in setting up machine, stacking, marking, packing, and transporting finished work pieces.
• Maintains a neat and well-organized work area.
• Performs other duties as directed by Shift Supervisor or Group Leader.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating heat treat equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job orders.
• Knowledge of heat treat processes and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.
