Warming Station Staff

About the role

Catholic Charities of Fulton & Montgomery Counties is seeking compassionate, reliable individuals to join our team as Warming Station Staff during the 2026 – 2027 season. This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to be a lifeline to those experiencing homelessness during the coldest months of the year.

Responsibilities

• Complete all direct service tasks related to the warming center including intakes; providing material goods to guests as needed, interacting with guests, and providing them with referrals and/or information about area services and programs as appropriate
• Provide laundry service to guests, washing and drying the laundry for guests as requested
• Maintain a list of guests each day and provide that information to the supervisor as required
• Ensure that all policies and procedures of the warming center are followed by guests
• Upon arrival, set up warming center, including cots, bedding, beverages, food, entertainment supplies, etc.
• Upon departure of all guests, clean and disinfect all equipment used and the warming center including bathroom and kitchen area

Schedule

• Program runs November 2026 through April 2027
• Open every day—including holidays
• 40 hours per week
• Evening: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• Overnight: 12:00 AM – 9:00 AM

Pay

$30 an hour

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1 to 3 years of experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or vulnerable populations
• Empathy, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate in all situations
