Job Responsibilities
- Functioning as the Service Provider (SP) at the enterprise level for Materiel Management and Warehousing and other Supply Chain Management (SCM) activities as required by the C2ISR weapon systems.
- Picking, packing, kitting, packaging, receipt and secure storage of products and materials.
- Physical handling of all assets, verification against the shipping manifest, prompt shelving in the appropriate storage area, and adjusting of inventory records in the appropriate systems.
- Protecting and managing assets.
- Timely receipt and storage of raw materials and other goods, equipment, product packaging, and related supplies.
- Handling storage, retrieval and disposal, and inventory management of products, materials, information, and other corporate assets.
- Aids in inventory; assists drivers with loading and unloading of trucks; maintains the warehouse.
- Keeps shelves and floor in clean condition.
- Handles cutting and reeling of wire; follows all established warehouse Standard Operating Procedures; ability to lift 75 pounds; ensures the proper receipt, verification, and documentation of supplies; and records discrepancies or damaged shipments, initiates appropriate corrective action and completes necessary documentation.
- Completes various merchandising documents and reports, as required, either manually or by appropriate systems using a computer or other equipment.
- Operates material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts, high-rise platform lifts, trucks and other general purpose vehicles.
- Receives, stores, selects and ships materials based on an in-depth knowledge of overall warehouse plans, documentation requirements, established warehouse methods, procedures, and techniques.
- Performs distribution functions related to the physical verification of material.
- Receives, stores, issues, and moves the material into, within and out of storage activity and prepares material for off-base shipment, including non-standard/specialized items.
- Uses automated equipment such as computer terminals, bar code wands, etc. in the operation of automated equipment and established warehouse operations.
- Duties also include examining stored materials and reporting discrepancies, deterioration and obvious damages.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.
- High School diploma or equivalency required.
- Relevant experience required.
- Active DoD SECRET clearance preferred.
- AFSC 2SX1 Military Occupational Classification or other DoD service Supply Chain and Materiel Management Specialist equivalent highly desired.
- 3+ years of direct Supply Chain and Materiel Management experience.
