Warehouse Worker (Heinz Warehouse)

Fremont Logistics LLC, a part of C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC, provides supply chain solutions and wholesale grocery distribution across the United States. We service a wide range of customers, from independent supermarkets to large chain stores, supplying over 100,000 products.

About the role

As a Forklift Operator, you will transport merchandise within the warehouse using a stand-up forklift to put away, drop down, and rotate full pallets of stock through inventory reserve racks.

Responsibilities

• Transport merchandise from receiving dock or reserve slots to proper warehouse locations.
• Complete purchase orders and maintain accurate records of quantities, pack size, and description.
• Maintain proper replenishment in the computer using a handheld device when pallets are put back in the rack.
• Stack cases and rotate merchandise; refill benches and fill pallet slots.
• Pull material/products to deliver to production lines and move/slot finished product from production to designated storage areas.
• Pull finished product from storage and load onto trailers; unload material/product from trailers.
• Utilize necessary technology (e.g., voice, RF gun) to select product.
• Complete paperwork on the transfer of material and date pallets with the current date.
• Complete inspection forms on operated equipment and change forklift batteries when applicable.
• Maintain a clean work area: sweep floor slots, clean spills, and re-work damage.
• Use a case cutter to cut tops off cases.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• MHE/Forklift Certification.
• Ability to operate stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift, reach truck, cherry picker, or other required materials handling equipment (MHE).
• Ability to operate a battery hoist.
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates commitment and ability to work safely.
• Reliability and satisfactory attendance record.
• Ability to maintain required productivity and work expectations.
• At least one year of experience operating stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift, reach truck, and/or cherry picker.

Qualifications

Physical abilities

• Never: crawling, sitting.
• Occasionally: climbing up to 4 ft (with fall protection training and equipment), balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, feeling, crawling, gripping, carrying, pivoting, pushing, lifting, pulling up to 60 lbs.
• Frequently: handling, fingering, talking, smelling, reaching (waist/overhead level).
• Continuously: standing and walking on various surfaces (carpet, tile, concrete), sitting, hearing, seeing, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet.
