Warehouse Worker

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and acting in a safe manner always.
• Unload and reload route truck;
• Reload route trucks with supplies and equipment for next day’s runs;
• Ensures all waste and containers are in acceptable shipping condition and organized for transport to recycle or distribution centers;
• Conduct inventory count and reconciliation;
• Verify, receive, stock, and organize product;
• Pick, package, and ship outbound orders;
• Operate heavy material handling equipment such as forklift and pallet jack;
• Load and unload trucks with various equipment and by hand;
• Cookier transportation for outbound shipments;
• Local deliveries when needed;
• Move trailers or trucks within the yard;
• Housekeeping in the branch (painting, picking up trash, sweeping, cleaning, straightening);
• Assist other business units;
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements;
• Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures;
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines;
• Perform other duties as assigned;
• Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED;
• Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity;
• Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements;
• Reliable transportation required for local travel between facilities;
• Strong communication skills;
• Problem solving skills;
• Intermediate computer skills with applications such as Microsoft Office – Excel and Outlook experience required;
• Ability to work with waste labels, manifests, and load sheets;
• Forklift experience required;
• Experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
