Warehouse Worker

TASKS

• Assist in the loading and unloading of deliveries with appropriate equipment or manually if required.
• Maintain the warehouse environment by keeping it clean, well organized, and safe for everyone.
• Accurately log inventory in/out of the system and maintain up-to-date records.
• Execute periodic inventory checks.
• Package, label, and prepare items for outbound shipment.
• Ensure labels and packing slips are accurate.
• Move and organize stock either by hand or with forklifts or other machinery in adherence with safety regulations.
• Regularly inspect equipment for damage or wear and report any issues immediately.
• Work with team members and management to ensure proper workflow in a timely manner.
• Put away and retrieve inventory from the appropriate warehouse locations based on the inventory system software directions.
• Cook with shipping and receiving departments to schedule deliveries and pickups.
• Assemble and wrap orders for shipment, and prepare the appropriate shipping labels and documents.
• Observe all health and safety procedures, wear the correct protective uniform and equipment, and immediately report any unsafe situations or possible hazards.
• Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor or manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Hourly Rate: $20.50/hour
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Proven experience as a warehouse worker or a similar position.
• Experience with forklift operation.
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and inventory management systems.
• Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system and ability to quickly learn new software tools.
• Skills to operate common warehouse equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other safety equipment.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move heavy objects and operate warehouse machinery.
• Good organization and time management skills, able to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Commitment to health and safety rules and standards, and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, safety protocols, and labels.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with team members and management.
• Reliability, punctuality, strong work ethic, and ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays when needed.
