Warehouse Worker/Cover Driver

About the role

The Warehouse Worker / Cover Driver position offers a dynamic and varied work environment, combining tasks in a warehouse setting with the responsibilities of a UPS package delivery driver.

Responsibilities

• Typically works 3.5 to 5 hours per day, Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday
• Loads and unloads packages from UPS trailers and iconic brown package cars
• Sorts, moves, and handles packages in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Reports for assigned warehouse shift when not scheduled as a Cover Driver
• Typically works 8 to 10 hours per day, Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday
• Safely operates UPS package delivery vehicles
• Delivers and picks up packages while providing excellent customer service
• Works independently in a fast-paced outdoor environment and in and out of customer locations
• Mets all UPS driver qualification standards and requirements

Requirements

• The ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Stamina – this is a workout like no other!
• Valid driver’s license—no CDL required (License type varies by state – proof required to qualify for the position)
• Satisfactory driving history
• Passes the DOT physical
• Passes the UPS driver test
• Excellent customer contact and driving skills

Pay

The base pay for this position is $21.00/hour.

Schedule

This position is classified as part-time, but additional hours may be available through the cover driving position.
