About the Role
This dual-role position combines warehouse and cover driver responsibilities. Your primary assignment will be warehouse work, with opportunities to serve as a cover driver based on business needs such as package volume, staffing, and seasonal demand. You may rotate between warehouse and driving duties throughout the year, sometimes week-to-week or for extended periods.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Worker
- Typically work 3.5 to 5 hours per day, Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday
- Load and unload packages from UPS trailers and package cars
- Sort, move, and handle packages in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Report for assigned warehouse shifts when not scheduled as a Cover Driver
Cover Driver (TCD)
- Typically work 8 to 10 hours per day, Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday
- Safely operate UPS package delivery vehicles
- Deliver and pick up packages while providing excellent customer service
- Work independently in a fast-paced outdoor environment and in/out of customer locations
- Comply with UPS driver appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided uniform
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Stamina for physically demanding work
- Valid driver’s license (no CDL required; license type varies by state)
- Satisfactory driving history
- Pass a DOT physical and UPS driver test
- Excellent customer service and driving skills
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
