Warehouse Worker

About the Role

Join our team at the Waipahu, HI branch of PACE Supply, a leading wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating, and industrial supplies. We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Associate to play a vital role in our daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and distribute products
• Accurately pick and pack orders
• Stock shelves and maintain organized inventory
• Prepare merchandise for customers by filling and packaging orders for will call or shipping
• Retrieve items from inventory using manual methods and/or forklifts
• Prepare materials for delivery or pick-up, ensuring proper packaging and labeling
• Verify the accuracy and timeliness of filled orders
• Complete bills of lading for customer deliveries
• Maintain organized files for customer pick-up orders
• Serve "Express Will Call Customers" promptly
• Assist with counter sales by entering orders and pulling/loading orders
• Foster a positive work atmosphere through effective communication and collaboration

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent education
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong verbal, written, and reading communication skills
• Dedication to delivering excellent customer service
• Proficient in time management and meeting responsibilities within designated timeframes
• Collaborative mindset, fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Basic math skills, including counting and computations up to four digits
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Basic computer skills, including keyboarding
• Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and oral communication
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Adherence to workplace rules, methods, policies, and procedures

Work Environment

The work environment involves frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate. Physical requirements include standing, walking, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs., and prolonged periods of standing or sitting.
