Warehouse Worker

As a Warehouse Worker, you will contribute to producing and delivering every form of salt that enhances everyday life by performing a variety of warehouse, production, packaging, material handling, and housekeeping duties to support safe and efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse, production, and utility functions to support safe and efficient plant operations.
• Operate forklifts, production equipment, and material handling systems to move, package, and process products.
• Load and unload materials, maintain inventory accuracy, and complete required documentation and system transactions.
• Maintain housekeeping, sanitation, and organization standards throughout the facility.
• Follow all safety, quality, environmental, and food safety requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Cross-train across multiple operational areas and perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use scanning devices and electronic systems.
• Ability to understand production schedules and operating procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to wear required PPE including a hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility apparel, and safety footwear.

Qualifications

• Physical requirements include ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, push, pull, reach, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and perform repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience.
• Previous forklift experience.

Working Conditions

This job is performed in all types of weather conditions. Some work may be performed inside plant buildings, while other tasks are performed outside. The role involves working in hot, humid, wet, dusty, cool, and cold environments.
