Warehouse Worker

About the Role

Ethan Allen is looking for a reliable, energetic warehouse worker to assist in the loading and unloading of furniture and accessories on and off trucks following company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload furniture and accessories on and off trucks
• Inspect furniture for standards of quality
• Operate a lift truck and dolly
• Operate a barcode scan gun and associated scanning system
• Assist with unboxing furniture for inspection, when needed

Requirements

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract whole numbers
• Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects
• Holiday, evening, and weekend overtime work may be occasionally required

Qualifications

• High school education
• Some previous manual work experience, preferably in a furniture warehouse

Skills

• Ability to inspect furniture for standards of quality
• Ability to operate a lift truck
• Ability to operate a computer barcode system
