Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Material Handling - Receiving, unloading, and storing parts and products in an organized manner within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management - Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, tracking, stocking, and conducting regular cycle counts.
- Order Picking and Packing - Selecting items from stock to fulfill customer orders and prepare them to be issued to the assembly shop.
- Scanning completed documentation into the Company database.
- Quality Control - Providing outstanding service to our customers. Inspecting products to ensure they are not damaged, defective, or have any other discrepancies. Any issues are to be reported to the Quality department.
- Equipment and Operation - Safely operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Performing daily inspections on forklifts, cranes, and various other material-handling equipment.
- Documentation - Maintaining proper documentation on all orders, shipments, receipts, and inventory transactions. Scanning completed work orders into the company database.
- Safety - Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Participating in the company's Sharp Card Program. Reporting any injuries, accidents, or unsafe conditions to a Manager or Safety Coordinator immediately.
- Cleaning and Maintenance - Keeping the warehouse clean and organized, and performing routine inspections on material handling equipment (forklift, crane, etc.).
- Teamwork - Collaborating with coworkers to meet productivity goals and ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Adhere to on-call/off-call work schedule, being available on short notice around the clock and on-call week.
Education & Experience
- A High School Diploma/GED.
- 1-3 years + Experience in warehousing.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
- Forklift certification is also a plus.
- Basic understanding of MS Office products, Adobe PDF, and other computer programs.
Technical Skills
- Basic math skills for business calculations.
- Computer skills required for data entry and reporting.
- Understanding written statements in work-related documents.
- Proficient in the operation of a forklift.
- Proficient in communicating with colleagues and in creating a team working environment.
Knowledge and Training
- Current health, safety & environmental (HSE) training as per division training matrix (Includes both regulatory and SES required courses).
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safe operations.
- Ethical business practices.
- Applicable PPE required to complete assigned tasks.
